Rotherham United, along with every other League Club in the Country has announced that from the start of next season Millmoor will be a ‘no smoking’ stadium, says the Official Site.

After the initiative was taken by The Championship clubs, the League held talks with all clubs and also took into account The Football League Supporters Survey 2006, where almost 80% of those voting said they would like some form of ‘smoke free’ policy at football matches with half wanting a total ban.

The League’s Chairman, Lord Mawhinney, said ‘We aim to get more families and young fans going along to watch their local football league teams and this new policy will ensure that they can do that without it having a negative effect on their health.’
