Rotherham United took part in a behind closed doors game at Doncaster Rovers Eco-Power Stadium this afternoon where they were the winners in a five goal game.

Although the Millers fell behind they went in three-one up at half-time before going on to win three-two.

Academy players Ciaran McGuckin, Jake Hull, Dean Gardner and Harrison Duncan all played some part in the game but it was the introduction of Andre Green with twenty-five minutes to go that will be of most importance to Millers fans.

Forward Green, who joined the Millers from Slovakian side Bratislava in August, ruptured his Achilles at Southampton in October last year and has had a tough time since then with his recovery which included re-injuring the Achilles in March.

But, let’s hope the twenty-five minutes today is the start of his comeback and that we soon see him on the pitch to add to his ten appearances for the Millers.

Let’s hope it has also been of use for the other players in the game today.
