A game the Millers had to win to strengthen their stronghold in this division was met with guts and determination at millmoor yesterday

The match against Tranmere had everything, 2 goals, 2 sendings off and a penalty miss.
At half time it looked nailed on a 0-0 draw
until……………..
Millers boss Alan Knill’s inspired substitution earned his side a priceless win.
Lee Williamson had a spot kick saved by keeper Steve Wilson, but then we took the lead with a goal from substitute Martin Butler, who looked realy sharp.

Butler then laid on the second for Paul Shaw to score at the second attempt.

Both teams were reduced to 10 men late on when Jackson and Micheal Keane tangled in the centre circle and were both shown the red card

In the end it was a comfortable win and lets hope we can continue and pick up points next saturday to ensure division 1 football stays at millmoor next season

the one dissapointment from yesterdays game was the very low attendance
