Rotherham United travel to the New Meadow this afternoon to take on table-topping Shrewsbury Town.

Tuesday night saw the Shrews beat Fleetwood at the Highbury Stadium while Rotherham got the better of Oxford United at the New York Stadium.

The Millers last away game saw them beat Scunthorpe with Plymouth getting the better of Shrewsbury last weekend at the New Meadow.

Vital Quotes:

Paul Hurst – Rotherham are bang in form and look like a team full of confidence and energy. Knowing Warney they will be fit, very fit in fact I think we are the two fittest teams in this league. When you look at the table now the other three teams in the top four are the three teams that came down from the Championship and we are going to have to be at our best if we are going to stop the run that we are on.

Paul Warne – Shrewsbury are having a great season and are top of the league on merit. They are really hard working and fit and haven’t conceded many goals. We will go into the game full of confidence and we play anything like we have been doing then it should be a competitive game.

Shrewsbury Town Team News:

Alex Rodman is doubtful for Paul Hurst’s side this afternoon with Nathan Thomas looking to take his place if he doesn’t make it.

Player to watch: Shaun Whalley

Tricky winger-cum-striker who is joint top scorer going into this game

Rotherham United Team News:

The Millers only concern is Joe Mattock who will have a late fitness test. If he’s not fully fit it could be a rare start for Ben Purrington unless Semi Ajayi moves into the left-back position and Michael Ihiekwe starts in central midfield.

Player to watch: Anthony Forde

Winger who has a number of assists and scored his first goal since September on Tuesday night
