Rotherham United are on their travels again, this time to the West Midlands to the Banks’s Stadium to take on Walsall.
The Saddlers go into this game in twelfth place, four places and six points behind the Millers and will be looking for revenge for their five-one defeat at the New York Stadium in September.
Rotherham will be looking for their third consecutive win this afternoon after getting all three points in their Boxing Day away game at Bury. Walsall’s last home game ended goalless against Bristol Rovers.
Jon Whitney – Rotherham have started to put a little run of results together but I still think they are underachieving. It will be a test for us but I am confident we will be a stern test for them
Paul Warne – They’re a good home side who are athletic with their front players always chasing down defenders. We are on a good run and feeling confident.
Walsall Team News:
Amadou Bakayoko is still suspended but James Wilson should be available. Florent Cuvelier is about a week away but Liam Roberts could be a surprise inclusion in the squad
Player to watch: Erhun Oztumer
‘The Turkish Messi’ is Walsall’s top scorer so for this season with eleven to his name and would surely like to add to that this afternoon
Rotherham United Team News:
Richie Towell will be given a late check-up but both Jon Taylor and Darren Potter are still out.
Player to watch: Lee Frecklington
Was back on the goal scoring trail last time out and would love to get another in the last game of 2017
