Rotherham United’s last game in the Championship for at least fifteen months sees Derby County at the New York Stadium for today’s lunchtime kick-off.

The Millers go into this last game having got four points from their last two games while Derby have three points from their last two games.

Rotherham’s last home game was a one-nil win over Ipswich with the Rams losing their last away game at Hillsborough despite going ahead.

Derby start this game in ninth place eleven points behind the play-off places while the Millers have been relegated since April Fool’s Day.

Vital Quotes:

Paul Warne – I think this will be a difficult game because the Derby players are expecting changes in the summer so they will be trying to impress the Manager. But I do know how they want to play football and we’ve watched enough of them and played against them a few times over the years. I think the way our lads have performed recently has been really good and I’ve been
really pleased and hopefully we can leave in a good state of affairs and prepare for next season.

Gary Rowett – We want to finish with a win. We know it will be difficult because Rotherham will be looking to seek some solace from what has been a poor season for them. Their results have picked up recently and I’m sure they will want to put on a show in front of their fans. But we will be at our best and go their with a great attitude.

Rotherham United Team News:

The Millers have doubts about top scorer Danny Ward going into this game while Semi Ajayi should make it but definitely out is winger Anthony Forde.

Player to watch: Semi Ajayi

Will need him to have his often man of the match performance to help stop Derby scoring this afternoon

Derby County Team News:

Darren Bent, Will Hughes and Marcus Olsson are major doubts for the Rams this afternoon while their young player of the year Max Lowe won’t make it.

Player to watch: Tom Ince

Quickly became a fans’ favourite amongst the Rams supporters as he not only scores but can create chances too. Got fourteen goals so far this season and will want to add to that this afternoon.
