Rotherham United welcome Derby County to the New York Stadium this afternoon, the Rams coming into this game in fourth place, eleven places above the Millers.

The Millers last home game was on a Sunday lunchtime when they beat Millwall one-nil with Derby also winning their last away game which was at the KC Stadium against Hull City.

Rotherham Manager, Paul Warne, says that Derby are a good team who have recruited well. He also told iFOLLOW that he thinks they have some really good players and expects them to have a good season.

The Millers will be without defender Sean Raggett who has had an operation and is expected to be out for some weeks. Clark Robertson and Joe Newell are also doubts but Richie Towell could make his ‘second’ debut for Rotherham after he signed another season long loan deal at the end of the transfer window.  There could also be room for Ben Wiles to come back into the match day squad.

Speaking to Rams TV Manger Frank Lampard is expecting a tough game this afternoon. ‘The Rotherham team are really well organised,’ the former England star said.

Derby will be without Curtis Davies and George Evans and probably Jayden Bogle with it being thought this game is too early for his return after a knee injury.

The man in the middle for this afternoon’s clash is Peter Bankes from Merseyside with Andrew Fox and Billy Smallwood running the lines. The Fourth Official is Sebastian Stockbridge from Durham.
