Rotherham United take on fellow strugglers Wigan Athletic on this Boxing Day with both teams desperate for three points.
Rotherham go into this game on the back of a late loss at Hillsborough while the Latics were also the victims of a late winner when Ipswich Town beat them three-two at the DW Stadium
The Millers are eight points behind Wigan who are one place above them.
Last time out at the New York Stadium the Millers were one-nil winners over QPR with Wigan’s last away game seeing them lose one-nil at Villa Park.
Paul Warne – Wigan took me out of non-league so I will always think of them fondly and thank them massively. Wigan are a footballing side and we’ve got to try and make it as hard for them to play as possible taking our chances when they come.
Warren Joyce – We approach every game to win the three points, the approach can`t be any different from any game we`ve played or will play for the rest of the year. Rotherham are quite a direct team with some threats and we know they’re capable of scoring. When we are on top we have to score.
Rotherham United Team News:
The Millers will have Richard Wood available after having his red card rescinded but the festive games may have come a little early for Kirk Broadfoot, although he could feature on the bench. After missing last weeks game Izzy Brown should be fit to play. Lee Camp is still recovering from a knee problem so Lewis Price will again be in goal and Greg Halford is probably a no-starter too.
Player to watch: Richard Wood
Will be feeling a little aggrieved over his red card so should come out all guns blazing
Wigan Athletic Team News:
David Perkins might not make it after having to come off in the last game and Nick Powell is definitely out with a hamstring injury. Donervon Daniels and Alex Gilbey are still injured with Luke Burke and Kyle Knoyle being major doubts.
Player to watch: Craig Morgan
Former Miller who had a little bit to say when he left so will probably want to prove himself in this game.
