Millers v Ipswich – The Stats

|

Rotherham United Manager Paul Warne saw his Millers get another away victory this evening, this time against Ipswich Town, making it fifteen games, in all competitions, without loss.

But what do those stats tell us?

The Millers had just thirty-six per cent possession this evening while winning fifty per cent of the aerial duels at Portman Road. We had five corners to Ipswich’s three with our passing accuracy coming out at fifty-six per cent in our opponents half.

Attack wise Rotherham had eleven shots at goal of which three were on target with two of those being goals. And of those eleven shots six were inside the box. The Tractor Boys had one on target from five shots.

Our tackle count came out at twelve while the hosts’ was seventeen. The Millers conceded twelve fouls to Town’s fourteen and our yellow card tally was three, two more than the home sides.

I think our defenders were on top of their game tonight while I only remember Victor Johansson having one save to make. And I also think our passing was much, much better than it was on Saturday, all over the pitch.

Another team effort I’d say.
