Millers v Ipswich Stats

Rotherham United took on the league leaders this evening and came out not only with all three points but also with a clean sheet – and it can’t be much better than that.

Ipswich had more possession than the Millers – sixty per cent to forty – but the visitors got more success in duels both on the ground and in the air. The hosts got more corners (eight) but did nothing with them with Rotherham getting five corners.

Our passing accuracy was rated at fifty-three per cent with the accuracy in the opponents half being fifty per cent.

Rotherham had eleven shots at goal, three on target with the Tractor Boys seeing two of their three shots on goal.

But, whatever the stats say the Millers got a good three away points this evening with the defence standing tall when needed and the forwards doing what they had to do at their end.

I was listening to the game this evening and all I could here were grumblings and moaning from the home supporters (whether for their teams performance or the referee I don’t know) while the two hundred plus Millers were singing loud and proud throughout the evening.
