Rotherham United go into Cup mode this evening when Lincoln City are the visitors to the New York Stadium in the EFL (Carabao) Cup.

The Millers go into this game on the back of an away defeat at Fleetwood on Saturday while Lincoln got an away point in a two-all draw at Wycombe.

The Imps had a some good Cup runs last season while the Millers, frankly, didn’t. Whether this will help the visitors tonight we will have to wait and see, but I can’t see it doing them any harm.

Vital Quotes:

Paul Warne – Lincoln are a team who are well organised, fit and physical and they will have got some confidence from Saturday’s result to bring into this game. They are confident in what they do and it will be a difficult game.

Danny Cowley – We know we`re playing a top team in Rotherham and we`ll have to be at our very best if we are to get on the right side of the result

Rotherham United Team News:

After being ill for a few days last week, Paul Warne will be hoping to have Darren Potter fit and well for this evenings game but he will be without Goalkeeper Lewis Price. Alex Bray is another who will miss out but could be involved at the weekend. Warney may make a couple of changes from Saturday’s starting eleven.

Player to watch: Lee Frecklington

Former Imp who is hoping that his now Millers team go on to have a good Cup run.

Lincoln City Team News:

Danny Cowley has hinted that he could make a couple of changes for this evening’s game. After missing Saturday’s draw with a knee problem Luke Waterfall could be back in contention this evening.

Player to watch: Sean Raggett

Defender who joined the Imps last season helping them back into the Football League and also knows where the goal is.
