The last game of the season, for the Millers at least, takes place this afternoon at Don Valley Stadium where play-off hopeful`s Torquay are the opponents.
When these two teams met at Plainmoor at the beginning of March the Millers, who were one of the favourites for automatic promotion at the start of the season, were in fourth place on fifty-four points and the Gulls were in eleventh and nine points behind. Now, two months later, Torquay have a very good chance of getting into the play-offs this afternoon while the Millers season fizzled out with new Manager, Andy Scott, yet to see a win.
Torquay haven`t lost away from home since 8th March and have scored eight goals in their last three away games. The Millers haven`t won at Don Valley since 15th February and haven`t scored there since 29th March.
Andy Scott – It will be a tough game but we need to put in a ninety minutes performance and give the fans something to look forward to next season
Paul Buckle – It`s a huge game for everyone and we are near the top of the league on merit and we`ve done wonders while the players have been fabulous.
Rotherham United Team News:
Andy Scott could welcome back Ryan Taylor, Nicky Law and Ian Thomas-Moore, as all have trained this week. Andy Warrington could return in goal for the last game of the season.
