Rotherham United are thought to be interested in right-winger Callum Roberts who currently plays for National League North outfit Blyth Spartans.

The Yorkshire Post tells us that the Millers are going to give a trial to the twenty-two year old.

Roberts joined Newcastle United at an early age moving up through their ranks before joining the Academy at St James’ Park in the 2013/14 season playing for both the U18’s and U21’s.

January 2015 saw Callum make his senior debut when he came off the bench in an FA Cup against Leicester City and a few weeks later he signed his first professional contract with the Magpies. While with Newcastle he had loan spells with Gateshead, Kilmarnock and Colchester United, who he played a handful of games for last season.

After his release by the Premier League side Callum joined the Spartans in the summer where he has scored two hat-tricks already this season.
