It is being reported that Rotherham United have put in a bid for Plymouth Argyle forward Freddie Ladapo.
Plymouth Live have said that the Millers have bid around £500,000 for the striker.
The twenty-six year old began his career with Colchester United and had loan spells with various non-league sides before signing a deal with Kidderminster Harriers in January 2014. While with the Harriers Freddie had time on loan with Hayes and Yeading United and Grays Athletic before going on to play around fifty games for Margate. After a trial with Crystal Palace he signed a two and a half year deal with the Eagles once again finding himself out on loan with Oldham Athletic and Shrewsbury Town.
January 2018 saw him join Southend United but after ten appearances he was released by the club and joined Plymouth in the summer of 2018 and was their top scorer last season.
It’s thought that the Millers could win the race to sign the striker although Sunderland are also interested in Ladapo although Portsmouth are thought to have dropped out of the running.
