Millers Not Expecting Any Early Business

Rotherham United are thought to be wanting to fetch in eight players this summer to make another push for promotion back to the Championship.

Speaking to The Star this week Millers Manager Paul Warne said that he believes that Rotherham have the ‘skeleton of a good side’ but doesn’t expect to be doing any business early on saying, ‘it might be that we don’t do any until July’.

The Millers Boss said that buying early often means you pay ‘over the odds’ for players. Me, I’d be worried about the players I want going elsewhere.

Another problem is that while Rotherham might not be doing any early business other clubs are and there are already rumours that striker Michael Smith is wanted by Middlesbrough.

I also wonder if our ‘skeleton’ of a good side includes the players who will probably be offered deals elsewhere like Smith.

The Rotherham Advertiser also say that Rotherham could be getting impatient with Matthew Olosunde and Josh Vickers who appear to be stalling over the signing of new deals.
