Rotherham United are rumoured to be interested in midfielder Kieran Sadlier.

The Football Hub on Twitter says the Millers are one of the clubs interested in the twenty-five year old who is out of contract at South Yorkshire neighbours Doncaster Rovers.

Kieran spent his youth career with Cambridge United and West Ham United but before playing a first team game for the Hammers moved to Scotland with St Mirren. He had a successful trial with Peterborough and after signing for the Posh had a loan spell with Halifax Town and then moved to Ireland and Premier League side Sligo Rovers. From there he went to Cork City before moving to the Keepmoat in December 2018.

Born in West Sussex Kieran has made around sixty appearances for Rovers and has found the net fifteen times.

I thought we had a number of good midfielders in the Millers’ ranks but then with Dan Barlaser looking like he wants to try out for a place in his parent club Newcastle United and Hakeeb Adelakun’s loan spell over it could be that we are on the look-out for a solid midfielder. And, if we are after a midfielder then Sadlier is ‘on the doorstep’ so to speak.
