Millers Loanee A Wanted Man?

Rotherham United’s loanee Rarmani Edmonds-Green is a wanted man.

The72 tells us that the likes of Barnsley, Cardiff City, Derby County and Preston North End are interested in the twenty-two year old defender.

Reg, as he is affectionately known by Millers fans, is on loan at the New York Stadium from Huddersfield Town and we Rotherham faithful have seen him blossom as his season has progressed. He came through the youth ranks with the Terriers and had loan spells with Brighouse Town, Bromley and Swindon Town before finding himself in South Yorkshire in August. He’s made twenty-four appearances scoring in October away at Cheltenham from some twenty-two yards out and is very much a part of the twenty games without defeat squad.

To be honest I’m not surprised that teams are keeping an eye on Reg but I don’t think Barnsley, Cardiff or Derby are exactly pulling up any trees this year with Preston just below mid-table in the Championship.

And, I’d like to think if Huddersfield are thinking of selling then we would be first in line with the option of buying and with our cheque book. But, of course, it doesn’t always work out like that does it. And if, as the article indicates, there is a bidding war for Reg then Huddersfield obviously hold the upper card. On the other hand it is mid-December and these stories do tend to surface at this time with the January ‘sales’ just around the corner.
