Rotherham United are rumoured to be fetching in yet another defender as the players return to training tomorrow.

The rumour today is that Zak Vyner will be joining the Millers on loan from Bristol City.

The London born defender came through the Youth ranks at Ashton Gate making his Championship debut in February 2016. Zak went on to play another seven times for the Robins while also having loan spells with Accrington Stanley and Plymouth Argyle.

Last season the twenty-one year old played twenty-two league games, mostly for the Pilgrims, his only goal coming away at Shrewsbury in February. He would probably have come to Paul Warne’s notice when he played for Argyle in our game at Home Park in April.

After he signed a new deal with City last week, will they let this promising defender out on loan again, especially to a team in the same league as them? Do we need another defender?
