Rotherham United are being reported as having a second bid for Scottish striker Ross Stewart turned down.

Sky Sports have told us that the Ross County player’s Head Coach says that the Millers have offered ‘no where near’ what they value him at.

Twenty-five year old Ross began his professional career with Albion Rovers moving to Scottish Championship side St Mirren on a two-year deal in 2017. The summer of 2018 saw him join Ross County scoring eleven times in his first season, scoring the same number of goals the following year. This season Ross has played six games in the Scottish Premiership scoring twice.

It sounds as though Rotherham United are keen to get Ross Stewart in but obviously don’t want to pay what the Staggies are asking. Will we get him over the line? I suppose it’s a case of keeping an eye on the transfer market.

Of course, I do wonder if this is all ‘transfer talk’ but with the County Manager making a comment then it does have a ring of truth about it.
