The last time the Millers visited Edgeley Park was six years ago when both teams were in Divison One and they secured a one-nil win.
Stockport’s Official Site has been urging fans to get there early tomorrow as they are expecting a bumper crowd
The Millers are currently in third place of League Two with Stockport just four places below them
Stockport boss, Jim Gannon, says playing the Millers will probably be one of the hardest games of the season and after watching the Millers twice he said, ‘we’ll be in for a tough one tomorrow.’
Millers boss, Mark Robins, has also watched County twice and says, ‘it will be a big test for us at Stockport. They are a decent side with strong workmanlike players who do not concede a lot of goals.’
Stockport Team News:
So far manager, Jim Gannon, has kept the same starting eleven but he admits he has as many good players on the bench or in the stands as he has out on the pitch and Liam Dickinson might be in line for a starting place after twice coming off the bench already this season to score although he suffered a head injury in last weekends game.
Player to watch: Anthony Elding
Elding joined in January from Boston United and was top scorer last season scoring eleven goals in twenty games
Millers Team News:
Mark Robins will be without long term injured player Mark Hudson and it is probable that Ryan Taylor, who received a head injury on Wednesday night won’t be available. There is still no news on Stephen Brogan who failed a late fitness test last Sunday though Tom Cahill played twenty five minutes of the reserve game mid-week. Pablo Mills will not travel with the team having just signed for Crawley Town on a months loan. It seems likely that Robins will put out the same team that beat Peterborough last Sunday
Player to watch: Derek Holmes
Derek Holmes was one of Mark Robins summer signings and has proved himself to be a good striking partner with Chris O’Grady. He is a good target man and unsettles defences in the air.
The referee is Mr Neil Swarbrick from Lancashire
