Millers Go Into Saturday With No New Injury Worries

|

Rotherham United make the short journey to Bramall Lane tomorrow to take on a Sheffield United side who are vying for automatic promotion.

The Millers go into this game buoyed with a win last weekend over Blackburn Rovers. Their last three away games have all been draws with the last one seeing them come back to get a one-all draw against Reading.

Sheffield United haven’t conceded a goal at home in the Championship since Boxing Day and will be hoping to keep that going on Saturday. Their last game was a goalless draw away against City rivals Sheffield Wednesday with the last game at Bramall Lane saw them beat Reading four-nil.

‘We’ve nothing but respect for those guys down the road,’ Blades Manager Chris Wilder told Radio Sheffield ahead of this weekends game. ‘It will be a fabulous achievement if they retain their Championship status at the end of the season. The game will be intense.’

The Blades have no new injury worries but it could be that Wilder decides to freshen things up a little.

Speaking to iFOLLOW Assistant Manager Richie Barker said, ‘They (Sheffield United) have recruited very well and they play the system extremely well which is really difficult to deal with.’ Adding his two pennyworth Manger Paul Warne wanted to go on record saying, ‘whatever happens at the end of the season I think Chris Wilder has been manager of the season.’

The Millers will be without Sean Raggett who has returned to his parent club, Norwich City, for what is being rumoured the rest of the season. After going off injured last weekend Jon Taylor has passed a fitness test so will be in the travelling squad. Apart from the long term injured everyone else is fit.

The referee for this game is Geoff Eltringham from County Durham.
