otherham United say that the late postponement of Tuesday nights game against Swansea City has cost the club around £10,000.

The club say the figure is made up of unsold food, programmes and staff payments.

1 500 Pukka pies were given away to supporters who had reached Millmoor before finding out the game was off.

The Swans supporters had a wasted round trip of 400 miles and one, Barrie Evans told the Advertiser ‘I feel it really is time there was a deadline for postponements before long-distance games. It`s about time the football authority started to think about the needs of supporters.`
