Rotherham United have delved into the transfer market and brought in Hakeem Odoffin from Scottish Premier League side Hamilton Academicals for an undisclosed fee and subject to FA and EFL ratification and international clearance.

Despite apparent interest from Hibernian and Motherwell and already having two bids rejected, it seems that a third bid secured the former right-back now midfielder.

Born in Barnet the now twenty-three year old joined Reading as a youth and then his home team on a two year scholarship. He played two games for Barnet before joining Wolverhampton Wanderers and from there had a loan spell with non-league Eastleigh. In July 2018 the defender moved to Northampton Town and he played in sixteen games before moving over the border to Livingston of the Scottish Premier League. Last season Hakeem joined the Accies making forty-one appearances and scoring four times playing both in defence and midfield.

All at Vital Rotherham welcome Hakeem to the New York Stadium.
