Rotherham United Manager Paul Warne told iFOLLOW that he thought his Millers team deserved a point this afternoon at Deepdale.
The Millers came back from being one down at the end of the first half to getting a point thanks to a fifty-fifth minute Michael Smith goal.
Saying he was disappointed with the first half saying, ‘I didn’t think we were quick enough or forceful enough in the first half.’
And I have to agree. To be honest I didn’t think our passing in the first half was all that good and a few times we gave the ball away in the middle of the pitch, though I think we are all thankful that those stray passes weren’t further up the park.
It was better in the second half and to come back from a goal down to get a point we can’t complain.
Preston Boss Alex Neil thought completely opposite about his own side telling their Official Site that ‘in the first half we played some really nice stuff but we didn’t really do that in the second half.’
He said that his players didn’t deal very well with the fact that Warne put two up front in the second half and thought his players looked jaded towards the end of the game.
I do think that a point a piece was probably the fair outcome of today’s game – what do you think?
