Millers Away At Wycombe – What The Stats Say

It was a late goal that won all three points for Rotherham United at Adams Park in the lunch time kick-off today but it might have been said that they deserved it.

The Millers had fifty-four per cent possession over Wycombe in the game and had the better of both the duels and aerial duels success rate. Their passing accuracy was also better and they had forty-eight per cent passing accuracy in their opponents half while crossing accuracy was twenty-nine per cent to Wanderers seventeen.

Rotherham had twelve shots at goal with two on target while the Chairboys four on target came from ten shots at goal. The fouls count was nineteen to Rotherham and twelve to Wycombe with both sides having one yellow card each.

This game didn’t sound particularly interesting and I did wonder about the Sadlier/Wiles substitution but, isn’t it good that we didn’t give in and go for the point – great to get the winning goal from Michael Ihiekwe in time added on and great to get an away win.

Good to be back in the Championship? Oh yes!
