Rotherham United will take on Chesterfield at the Proact Stadium for their third pre-season friendly.

The game will take place on Saturday, 20th July when kick-off is 3pm.

The last time the Millers were at the Proact was in August 2012 when both teams were in League Two. Jordan Bowery, who joined Rotherham two years later, opened the scoring on three minutes for the hosts but a fifty-first minute goal from Kayode Odejayi gave the Millers a share of the spoils.

The teams last met in the Football League Trophy game in October 2017 at the New York Stadium which saw the Spireites win two-one after Will Vaulks had equalised against a Diego De Girolamo goal a last minute goal from Jak McCourt gave the visitors the tie.

The Millers have two other pre-season fixtures already confirmed with will be against Parkgate FC on Saturday, 6th July at Roundwood and then on Tuesday, 16th July there is a trip to take on Farsley Celtic.
