Rotherham United have announced their second pre-season friendly will be on Tuesday, 16th July when they travel to the Throstle Nest Stadium to take on Farsley Celtic.

Established in 1908 as Farsley Football Club they began playing in amateur leagues in the Leeds area and have also played in the Yorkshire League and the Northern Counties East League before going into administration and reforming for the 2010/11 season as Farsley AFC earning promotion to Division One North of the Northern Premier League.

In 2015 they became Farsley Celtic and won promotion to the Premier Division where, at the end of this season they were crowned Champions of the Evo-Stik Premier Division and will start next season in the National League North.

The Millers open their pre-season with a friendly at Roundwood against Parkgate (Saturday, 6th July) and hope to announce one or two friendly games during their training camp in Germany, which takes place between Monday, 8th and Monday, 15th July.
