Rotherham United are thought to be looking at getting in Norwich City pair Ben Godfrey and Sean Raggett on loan next season.

Midfielder Ben has played just a handful of league games for the Canaries since joining in 2016 and spent last season on loan with Shrewsbury Town playing three times against the Millers including the game at Wembley last weekend.

Sean joined Norwich in August last year from Lincoln City, going straight back to Sincil Bank on loan. He also played against Rotherham in the EFL Cup game at the New York Stadium. The twenty-five-year-old defender went back to Norwich in January making two appearances from the bench.

The Eastern Daily Press seems to think that although Paul Warne could find it easy to recruit Raggett he might have a fight on his hands to bring in Ben Godfrey.

I’ve not much of a problem fetching in loan players from the start of the season on a season-long loan – as long as that season-long loan actually lasts a season and they won’t be recalled in January by their parent club leaving the Millers high and dry.

My only problem with getting players on loan from clubs in the same league as Rotherham is that will be two games they will be missing before we start with injuries and suspensions.
