Rotherham United have further bad news today on the injury front with Millers Manager Paul Warne telling iFOLLOW that Kieran Sadlier is set for a spell on the sidelines.

The twenty-six year old midfielder, who joined Rotherham in August, started his first match on Saturday since the beginning of October but lasted just twenty-three minutes before an injury forced him off.

Warney says that a scan has confirmed ligament damage in Sadlier and he’s going to be out three months, though it’s not known yet if he will need an operation.

The Millers haven’t had much luck with injuries so far this season with Chieo Ogbene already out until February with a knee injury which he got in training and both Clark Robertson and Shaun MacDonald having breaks. Joe Mattock is also out with a hamstring injury although he could be back for the Millers next game which is away at Swansea with Adam Thompson and Billy Jones also on their way back.

‘We do train them hard,’ the Gaffer admitted, ‘but a lot of clubs are suffering with players with muscle injuries at the moment which we don’t have. The lads are in good shape.’
