Rotherham United have brought in Rarmani Edmonds-Green on a season long loan from Huddersfield Town – subject to EFL and FA ratification.

Born in Greater London the twenty-two year old centre-half signed for the Terriers from the Nike Academy on his seventeenth birthday. He has had loan spells with Brighouse Town before making his debut for Huddersfield in a Carabao Cup game in August 2019. Another loan spell saw Rarmani with National League side Bromley before he made a couple of appearances for his parent club in the Championship. January 2020 saw him out on loan again this time with Swindon Town where he played nine times scoring his first league goal away at Carlisle and helping the Robins to promotion. Last season saw him made twenty-four appearances for Huddersfield, one of those in our goalless draw at the John Smith’s Stadium, and Rarmani scored two Championship goals.

Speaking to iFollow after putting pen to paper today, Rarmani said that he is hoping to get games under his belt with the Millers.

‘I played against Rotherham last season,’ the defender said, ‘and they are a tough side. I like the way they play so coming here was a no-brainer. Getting promoted from League Two (with Swindon) was a great feeling and hopefully we can get the job done here this year. ‘

Knowing Freddie Ladapo Rarmani said he had spoken to Freddie before coming to the New York Stadium who told him it would be good for him to be here saying, ‘he has helped me coming here.

‘Looking at the young players who have come through here and those who are still here I’m hoping the Gaffer can help me as well.’

Asked what sort of player the Millers would see, Rarmani said, ‘I love to defend and I like to have the ball at my feet. I can’t wait to get playing in front of the fans.’

All at Vital Rotherham Welcome Rarmani to the New York Stadium.
