Rotherham United Manager Paul Warne told us that he was expecting one of his players to move out after the win at Chesterfield on Saturday.
Over the weekend there were rumours that forward Kyle Vassell was joining Salford City FC – but, as yet we’ve heard nothing from either club or from Vas himself on this one.
But one rumour that I find a bit worrying is that both Queens Park Rangers and neighbours Sheffield Wednesday are showing an interest in defender Clark Roberston.
He made thirty-one appearances for Rotherham last season scoring three times, twice to help the Millers get draws with his last goal putting us in the lead against West Brom at the Hawthorns (pity we couldn’t hold onto that lead).
Clark joined the Millers from Blackpool last summer and still has two years of his original three year deal left on his contract. So, yes, we’d expect to get some good money for him but I also think he did really well for us last season and will (hopefully) excel in League One this coming season.
As I say these are only rumours – but you know what they say ‘there’s no smoke without fire’ – let’s hope this is one fire that is soon put out.
