Rotherham United lost out in the final minute of the Cup game with neighbours Sheffield Wednesday last night at the New York Stadium which, as us Millers fans know, isn’t the first time this has happened.
Right up until time added on at the end of the game the hosts were in front on possession with the final figures showing that the Owls just pipped the Millers at the end.
The stats also say that the visitors won more duels including aerial duels although Rotherham’s passing accuracy was just better and they had more corners.
The end of the game stats say that the Millers had eleven shots at goal, two on target while the Owls had fifteen shots at goal five of which were on target. Two yellow cards went to the visitors with one to the hosts while, it seems, the Millers committed two more fouls. (Hmmm).
The draw for the third round saw Wednesday drawn at home against Everton.
