Michael Keane put himself in contention for Friday’s trip to leaders Southend by scoring in Rotherham reserves’ 1-1 draw with Huddersfield on Tuesday afternoon.

The midfielder has missed the Millers’ last four matches through suspension following his red card against Port Vale last month.

But he fired a reminder of his eye for goal with a clinical strike after seven minutes when he followed up to score after his original shot was blocked.

However, the Terriers were level before the interval when John McAliskey finished off a well-worked move.

it gives alan knill another option as we go into the biggest game of the season, as a win will see us hanging on in there whilst a defeat could prove so so costly full match preview will appear on this site shortly.
