|

Rotherham United have told Carlisle United that they can keep young striker Joshua Kayode on loan at Brunton Park for the rest of the season.

Josh came through the Youth ranks with the Millers making his debut for the club in the EFL Trophy game in August 2017 against a Manchester City U21 side and went on to sign his first professional contract with Rotherham three months later. Having already had loans with Chesterfield and Gateshead, Josh joined the Cumbrians in January 2020 until the rest of last season then re-signed on loan again in September making twenty-one appearances for the League Two side and scoring four goals, his last one coming last weekend away at Walsall and afterwards was also named in the Sky Bet League Two Team of the Week.

Born in Nigeria Josh and his family moved to Dublin when he was a young boy and he has made two appearances for the Republic of Ireland U21 side.

Good Luck for the rest of the season, Josh!
