Rotherham United’s Head of Recruitment Jamie Johnson has amicably left the club today with the Official Site telling us that it is because of ‘a restructure of the recruitment department’.
Jamie was appointed in December 2016 after leaving Brighton and Hove Albion where he was European Scouting Manager. He has also worked as Head of UK Scouting with Derby County and was Chief Scout at Millwall after being a Regional Scout with Huddersfield, Sunderland and Tottenham Hotspur.
While with the Millers Jamie, who is the son of former Spurs scout Mel Johnson, helped to set up a professional recruitment and analytical department and worked closely with Millers Manager Paul Warne.
All at Vital Rotherham wish Jamie ‘all the best’ for his future.
