‘He’s Right Up My Street’ Gaffer Says About New Loanee

|

Rotherham United Manager Paul Warne was pleased to finally get ‘his man’ after attacking-midfielder Lewis Wing signed a loan deal at the New York Stadium today.

‘He’s right up my street,’ the Millers Boss told the Official Site after Wing signed from Middlesbrough.

Hailing from the North-East twenty-five year old Lewis broke into the ‘Boro team in 2018 and the Millers Boss was hoping to get him on a loan deal then but he proved to be too valuable for Middlesbrough.

‘He drives the team forward and he’s desperate to play football,’ the Gaffer said of Wing, ‘I think he can come here and play a massive part in our run-in and hopefully have a positive impact on the team.’

Warney also says that he’s a player who ‘shoots on sight’ so that will please us fans hearing that. He also tells us that he can take set-pieces – well, we will have to see what Dan Barlaser says about that!

I don’t think there is any doubt that Lewis will be an asset to our team – maybe we will see what he’s about tomorrow night when we take on Derby County at the New York Stadium.
