Rotherham United welcome Cambridge United to the New York Stadium and although the U’s were here for a Capital One Cup game in August 2015 (which the Millers won one-nil) this is their first league visit.
The last time the pair met on Rotherham soil was a Division Two game in 2001 at Millmoor when an Alan Lee hat-trick (two minutes, twenty-eight minutes and a last minute penalty) gave the Millers a three-nil win. A certain Marc Joseph was red carded for the visitors on eighty-eight minutes.
In a Division Three game in August 1998 two goals in seven minutes second half minutes, one from Jason White and the second from Lee Glover gave the hosts all three points.
January 1998 saw Cambridge take a two goal lead at Millmoor through Michael Kyd and Ben Chenery but the Millers scored twice in time added on with Neil Richardson and Scott Taylor earning a draw for Rotherham.
Cambridge last won on Rotherham soil in May 1985 in a Division Three game by one goal to nil.
The first time the pair met at Millmoor was a goalless draw.
