Rotherham United have had their names linked with non-league striker Michael Cheek and also with a Leeds United defender, although no name was forthcoming, he is thought to be on the ‘wrong side’ of thirty which might, or might not, be a bad thing. Both, of course, rumours and nothing official has been seen. And, although it was denied last week we are still being mentioned in the same breath as Paul Mullin from Cambridge.

We have also been seeing midfielder Ben Wiles name being linked with Luton Town and, as well as Middlesbrough it seems that Bristol City have Michael Smith on their radar while our Chairman, Tony Stewart, said that four Championship clubs have been in touch about Millers players – whether that’s four different players or four clubs in for the same player(s) we don’t know.

Goalkeeper Josh Vickers has signed a new two year deal this week.

Rotherham have got some new catering partners with Elior UK agreeing a three yeal deal at the New York Stadium. There will also be new balls at the stadium this coming season with PUMA being the Official Match Ball supplier for all EFL competitions, including the three leagues, the Carabao Cup and Papa John’s Trophy.

Skipper Richard Wood told the Official Site that he likes all three of the new kits and after sat at home ‘twiddling his thumbs’ he has started the ‘off season programme’ that the club have given each player.
