Former ‘Keeper Passes Away

Here at Vital Rotherham we are sad to hear of the passing of former Rotherham United goalkeeper Steve Conroy.

Coming through the ranks at Bramall Lane, Steve made over one hundred and thirty appearances for Sheffield United’s first team from 1977 to 1983 when he joined the Millers on non-contract terms.

Making just five appearances in a relegated Rotherham side Steve joined Rochdale before moving back to Millmoor. After he hung up his boots Steve joined the coaching staff at Bramall Lane.
