Rotherham United’s first game of the new season sees referee Brett Huxtable from Devon in the middle for our game away at Wimbledon.

Brett is in his fourth year as a League Referee and this will be the third time he’s been in the middle for a Millers game

The first game the Millers and Brett met was in December 2017 at the Memorial Stadium when Rotherham United travelled to take on Bristol Rovers. After a goalless first half Ryan Williams put the visitors in front on the fifty-sixth minute with goals from Ellis Harrison and Liam Sercombe put the hosts in front. An off the ball incident between Lee Brown and Kieffer Moore saw the Millers’ striker get a straight red.

That same season saw the Millers travel to Southend when they met up with Brett again in March. A seventh minute goal from Stephen McLaughlin and another ten minutes from the end of the game from Simon Cox saw the hosts win two-nil at Roots Hall.

Last season Brett was in charge of thirty-nine games where he showed one hundred and twenty-eight yellow cards and seven red (three of those being in the ninetieth minute between Southend and Charlton in the September).

Running the line on Saturday we will have Paul Yates and Mark Derrien while Louis Marks is the Fourth Official.
