Rotherham United welcome League Two side Cheltenham Town for the first round of the FA Cup which is the first time the pair have met in this competition.

This will be the third visit to the New York Stadium for the Robins, the first being in November 2012 when Keith Lowe opened the scoring for the visitors in the first minute with Daniel Nardiello equalising three minutes later. Ben Pringle and Nardiello made it three-one with Chris Zebroski getting another for the visitors before half-time. In time added on Lee Frecklington made it four-two to the hosts.

January 2022 was the last time Cheltenham played here which saw Michael Smith score the only goal of the game on twenty-four minutes for the Millers giving them a sixth straight home league win.

Last season saw both sides knocked out in their first foray of the FA Cup, the Millers in a third round away game at Fulham when a twenty-four minute goal from Bobby De Cordova-Read was enough for the hosts and Cheltenham lost five-one away to AFC Wimbledon, Rob Street scoring for the Robins.

The game takes place on Saturday, 2nd November with a 3pm kick-off.
