Ex Rotherham United midfielder, Martin Woods, surprisingly signed for League One neighbours, Doncaster Rovers yesterday and has been telling the Yorkshire Post why.

‘I spoke to the Chairman and then the manager,’ the Under-21 Scottish International said, ‘and they convinced me it would be a good career move.

‘I want to play in at least the Championship and I think there is a good chance to move up with this club.’

Woods moved to Doncaster on a ‘free’ due to a clause in his contract when the Millers were relegated.
