Manager Alan Knill is urging Will Hoskins to ignore the interest he is creating from clubs in higher leagues and sign a new contract with the Millers.

It is reported that Celtic, Everton, Middlesbrough and Crystal Palace are keeping a close eye on the 20 year old striker whose contract runs out at the end of the season.

Knill believes a move at this stage of his career would not be beneficial to the second leading goal scorer in the First Division. He told the Yorkshire Post ‘if Will goes now there is no guarantee he will get first team football. I think it would be better for him to stay and continue his development with us. He has indicated that he would be happy to stay at Millmoor and talks with him have been positive. I think we can make him a good offer, but it does depend on what is regarded as a good offer to Will and his agent.`

‘Whatever happens, he will not walk out of the door for nothing. If someone wants him they will have to pay a fair amount of money for him.`
