Do The Stats Look Better Than We Initially Thought They Would?

Rotherham United came back from two down to get a draw against in-form Hull City at the KCOM Stadium last night, thanks, in part, to some good work from substitute Jon Taylor.

To be honest, at half-time, the fans in the crowd were dreading looking at the stats as the Tigers had all but dominated the game from the off – but a change of formation and second-half energy from the Millers should make those stats look a little better.

They still say that City had more possession – as we hardly had any possession in those first forty-five minutes, I’ll go with that. The Millers, over the ninety plus minutes, won more in the air while the corner tally was exactly the same – five each.

The Tigers passing accuracy all over the pitch was the best with the Millers crossing being the better of the two. We actually had fourteen shots at goal to City’s eight, five of those being on target to the hosts’ three.

All in all it’s those goals that count and as it was two each it was probably a more even game than we first thought it would be.
