Rotherham United have been linked with Rangers defender Lee Hodson since the beginning of the month but, so far, the player is still with the Scottish side.

But, things might be a little easier for the Millers if today’s
rumours are right that Rangers’ Manager, Steven Gerrard, has his eye on Blackpool defender Curtis Tilt.

Tilt was an ever-present last season for Blackpool who have already rejected a bid from Ipswich Town for the twenty-six year old.

One of the three players that Millers Boss Paul Warne has brought in this season is defender Zak Vyner who is on a season-long loan from Bristol City. But, as we know from last season and our season-long loan of Kieffer Moore, the ‘season-long’ can be just ‘until we find out how good he is and we want to make some money on him and sell him’.

So, if we are looking to add to our defenders, it could be that we aren’t expecting to keep Vyner for long after Christmas and want someone who is ready and able to step into his shoes when/if he goes. And what better if that person is already at the club and knows the ins and outs of how we work?
