Rotherham United have announced that they will play Parkgate FC in a pre-season friendly on Saturday, 6th July when it will be a 1.00pm kick-off while they travel to Germany for a pre-season training camp on the following Monday.

The game last season at Roundwood was a three-one win for the Millers when Michael Smith opened the scoring followed by two second-half goals from Anthony Forde. Collinson got a consolation for the ‘home’ team.

The Steelmen are in the Northern Counties East League Division One and finished eighth in the league. After a poor start to the season former player Andy Dawson was appointed as manager in September after Billy Fox resigned.

The Millers are hoping to play a couple of games while they are in Germany but nothing has been confirmed yet.
