Could There Be Truth In This Rumour?

There could be some good news for Rotherham United fans if the rumours doing the rounds today are anything to be believed.

The Football League Hub on Twitter tells us that the Millers have put in a £300,000 bid for Newcastle United’s Dan Barlaser. Not only that but also saying our bid has been accepted.

Well, that’s great news – if, of course, it’s true. (Which I hope it is).

Dan spent last season at the New York Stadium on loan from the Magpies. Not getting off to the best starts the Millers fans warmed to him as the season went on and were positively singing his name when it came to an abrupt halt in March.

The news that the midfielder is on his way back to Rotherham comes after Premier League Newcastle have put the squad numbers out and Dan isn’t amongst them and I’m just hoping that people aren’t putting two and two together and making five.

My fingers are crossed that these rumours are true and we get to see Dan in a Rotherham shirt again this season, albeit, probably via our TV or Laptops.
