Rotherham United are one of sixty-five EFL clubs to have been awarded the Family Excellence Award.
The club was again given the Silver award after having had two ‘mystery family visits’ throughout the season. The feedback from the visits determined which clubs would get the award.
Chief Executive Trevor Birch congratulated the clubs saying, ‘Ensuring a memorable matchday experience is vital to attract the next generation of young fans, so it’s great to see so many clubs excelling in this area. Club staff should be commended for going the extra mile to make the matchdays engaging for families attending live games.’
The Millers were particularly praised for Miller Bear’s participation as well as the Red and White shops ‘pocket money’ selection of gifts.
