Rotherham United management team Paul Warne, Richie Barker and Matt Hamshaw have all signed new deals with the club.

The Gaffer and his Assistant, Barker, both had ten months left on their contracts and have now signed new deals keeping them at the New York Stadium.

Speaking to the Official Site Millers Chairman Tony Stewart told the Official Site that he was pleased he trio had signed new deals saying, ‘They work well together and they’ve proven themselves and they want what we want and they are going nowhere.’

Although I suspect we all thought this was always on the cards it is good news for many Millers fans now that it’s been made official.

Warney had a couple of spells as caretaker Manager before being in the deep end when Kenny Jackett decided the Millers weren’t for him. All the time saying he ‘didn’t want to be a Manager’ he eventually signed a rolling-contract in April 2017.

Mr Stewart says that he is ‘excited’ about the coming season, saying, ‘We want to prove that we are fit and able to sustain Championship football and it doesn’t end there.’

So say all of us.

Up The Millers.
