Rotherham United’s central-midfielder Michael Ihiekwe is back at the club after completing a loan spell with Accrington Stanley.

Michael joined the Millers in May 2017 signing a two year contract from Tranmere Rovers. He made thirty-five appearances in his first season with Rotherham which included both League One Play-Off games against Scunthorpe although he didn’t make it onto the pitch at Wembley for the Final. His only goal, so far, for the Millers came in our five-one home win over Oldham in September 2017.

The twenty-six year old wanted ‘regular football’ and said, at the time, that he was ‘pleased’ when Accrington came in for him with Stanley Boss John Coleman saying, ‘we need to strengthen in the defensive area and Michael ticks all the boxes.’

While with Accrington Michael has made twenty-three appearances scoring once in their one-all home draw against Portsmouth.

There is a decision to be made on Michael Ihiekwe’s future in the next few days.

Should he stay? If he did would he get a chance? Maybe he needs to go out for another half season loan somewhere? What do you think?
